A day in Matera

On Tuesday, 30th november 2021, we went to 2019's Europe's Cultural Capital, Matera. There, we spent the whole day walking through the city and visiting some of the most important places, like the House Grotto, the Rock Church and the Cathedral.

When we first arrived at the city it didn't surprise me, as I thought it was just a normal city, but after seeing the old part of the city it impacted me in a good way. It was one of the most beautiful cities that I have ever seen. An entire city of huddled houses built with limestone, creates a landscape very different from what we can see in Portugal. And to top it all we have been at the same place as Daniel Craig, better known as the famous James Bond.
